Albrecht hat sich nicht gerade wenig Arbeit gemacht, um einen umfassenden Guide zusammenzustellen, der den Ein- und Umstieg massiv erleichtern sollte. Auch wenn man vielleicht den Weggang von Windows noch nicht beabsichtigt kann es ja nicht schaden, einen Blick auf die 'andere Seite' zu werfen. Hemmschwellen werden damit auf jeden Fall kräftig abgesenkt

One or the other here might not want to run GPL on Windows in the future. In case it is not yet known: it is nowadays also possible on Linux.

Albrecht has done a lot of work to put together a comprehensive guide that should make the transition much easier. Even if you don't intend to leave Windows yet, it can't hurt to have a look at the 'other side'. In any case, inhibition thresholds are lowered considerably.

As Hans already (without my knowledge) mentioned, the English translation is in progress ...

In my case I had kind of "micro-framedrops" at Windows 10: around every second the videocard was droping a few frames. It was not easy to see during driving, but when I started seeing it I saw it all the time and it was very annoying. So, four years ago I changed to Linux Mint and it is running great!!!

I felt the same way. Especially in the critical places, such as tight corners or the pit lane, I had a lot of graphics dropouts with Windows 10, which I no longer have with Linux.
