Eine schöne berg und Talbahn. Aus irgendeinem Grund kam ich gut zurecht. In den Trainings in der Woche kam ich oft unter 1:38. 1:37,6 als besten Wert. Mit der 1:38,08 dachte ich das es zur Pol reicht. Aber ich rechnete nicht mit dem Wirbelwind Lasse O. 7 Tausendstel schneller!
Dann auf ins Rennen. Ich dacht mir einfach Lasse hinterherfahren und gucken was passiert. Aber Rennen ist nicht gleich alleine fahren! Greg drückte und vor lauter Spiegel gucken gingen meine Augen in die Knie und ich konnte nicht meine Rundenzeiten fahren. Zwischendrin konnte ich den Abstand erhöhen und immer wenn ich mich sicher fühlte machte ich Fehler. So ging es mehr Rückwärts als vorwärts. Ende der 27. Runde machte ich einen fehler in der letzten Rechts und rutschte in den Sand. Beim rausfahren Touchierte mich Uli und ich bog nach links ab in die unsichtbare Mauer. Ich denke es ist mehr meine Schuld als seine. Ich blieb links aber nicht weit genug. Danach hatte ich keine Motorleistung mehr, aber die Kiste lief noch. Leider waren es noch 9 Runden und ich konnte P3 nicht halten. Hat aber trotzdem Spass gemacht.
Gratulation Lasse O. Die Meisterschaft ist fast sicher. Es fehlen nur magere 2 Pünktchen. Ich denke das ist mehr als machbar. =========================================================================================================================================================================== A beautiful uphill and downhill track. For some reason, I managed well. In the training sessions during the week I often came in under 1:38. 1:37.6 was my best time. With the 1:38.08 I thought it would be enough for the pole. But I didn't reckon with the whirlwind Lasse O. 7 thousandths faster!
Then into the race. I thought I'd just follow Lasse and see what happened. But racing is not the same as riding alone! Greg pushed and my eyes bugged out from looking in the mirrors and I couldn't do my lap times. In between I was able to increase the gap and whenever I felt safe I made mistakes. So I was going backwards more than forwards. At the end of lap 27, I made a mistake on the last right and slid into the sand. On the way out, Uli touched me and I turned left into the invisible wall. I think it was more my fault than his. I stayed left but not far enough. After that I had no more engine power, but the car was still running. Unfortunately, there were still 9 laps to go and I couldn't hold on to P3. But it was still fun.
Congratulations Lasse O. The championship is almost certain. Only a meagre 2 points are missing. I think that's more than doable.
Ups, schön, Website ist wieder da … Ich mag die Strecke (auch wenn sie bedauerlicherweise noch nicht fertig, programmiert ist ...) und wollte einfach nur mal ein Rennen bei euch zu Ende fahren. Nach erneut viel zu kurzem Training und einem schwachen Start, gab es ein unterhaltsames Rennen vor mir. Als Zuschauer, in sicherem Abstand, konnte ich immer wieder neuen Zweikämpfen mit Claudio, Greg, Mario und Tim zuschauen. Am Ende gab es für mich viele Plätze zu erben. Das Glück war bei zwei leichten Berührungen auch auf meiner Seite – sogar der Repro V8 hat ausnahmsweise gehalten! Glückwünsche an Lasse und Tim. Wir sehen uns dann hoffentlich alle zum Abschluss der Saison am Ring.
Oops, nice, website is back ... I like the track (even if it's not yet fully programmed) and just wanted to finish a race with you again. After another far too short training session and a weak start, there was an entertaining race ahead of me. As a spectator, at a safe distance, I was able to watch new duels with Claudio, Greg, Mario and Tim. In the end, there were plenty of places for me to gain and luck was on my side with two light touches - even the repro V8 held up for once! Congratulations to Lasse and Tim. Hopefully we'll all see each other at the Ring at the end of the season.
