@LasseO: Echt schade wegen deines Rennverlaufs! Wenn du etwas später im Rennen da vorne auch noch mitgemischt hättest wäre es perfekt gewesen. Ich hatte das ganze Rennen ein gutes Gefühl im Wagen, der Flow passte während fast des ganzen GPs, ich musste nie ans letzte Limit. Vielleicht wärst du diesmal nicht an mir vorbei.. ;)))))
Heuer hat die GELI eine besonders gute Balance, es macht richtig Spass!

I´m using NordVPN here on my race-server. Hosting a race is only working properly when I pause NordVPN. (Tunnelsplitting isn´t working) Q: Does anyone have this config running well and knows what to look at in my case? Thx!
What a race! The whole last week here in vienna the temperature climbed to officially 96,8 °F (36°C), which felt like 100°+ here in my apartment.. the air was like in the middle of an pizzastow, for days I felt like living somewhere around Westsahara.. during whole friday I couldn´t imagine to turn the wheel. During practise I changed 2 times t-shirt, after race shirt3 was wet like I came out of Jordan. But beside those hot circumstances I felt comftable in my Cooper. In preparation I had done a few laps to tweak a very solid Fleurke-setup (thanks Robert!) to my needs. That worked really well.
Gratulations Claudio, solid & consistant! I tried to buildup pressure on you, but you made no mistake. Well done! Thank you Tristan for giving me back position in a gentleman style! I needed a real good flow to keep you off my back and was lucky to not lose it! Also, thank you Greg for explicite fair fighting, that was extra fun.
The whole race was real, BIG fun! And it was great pleasure to race with you all gentlemen! Hopefully see you again at racingday in indianapolis!

For myself I lost focus in L3 first quarter. Got stuck in the barrier in a sharp righthander - even under no pushed conditions.. Had one lap of preparation, thanks to Ferdi enough fuel.. I know the track well from last years race and some other years ago. Just came back from 2 weeks holiday and could not get my tension into race-mode. Brain and body was still to lazy :)
In my case I had kind of "micro-framedrops" at Windows 10: around every second the videocard was droping a few frames. It was not easy to see during driving, but when I started seeing it I saw it all the time and it was very annoying. So, four years ago I changed to Linux Mint and it is running great!!!

Ich habe hier windows7 mit einem PhenomX-irgendwas-Prozessor aus dem "Jahre Schnee" (10-15 Jahrer alt) und der läuft auf 3,6 GHz und das reicht völlig.
Dann habe ich eine NVidia GTX 970 und betreibe damit einen 4K-Monitor mit 60FPS (also 3840 x 2160 Auflösung), ruckelfrei in allen Situationen und auf selbst der grafikintensivsten Strecke (Spa ´67). 4K-Auflösung ohne Probleme läuft aber auch mit einer wesentlich schwächeren Karte wie der NVidia-GTX1060. WICHTIG: Achte bei deiner Grafikkarte unbedingt darauf dass sie mindestens 4GB-VideoRAM zur Verfügung hat! Ich hatte ein paar Karten die nur 2 oder 3 GB Video-Ram hatten und die machten bei so mancher Strecke Probleme und liefen nicht wirklich flüssig. Ich glaube auch dass es grundsätzlich gut wäre eine NVidia zu besorgen. Grund: Man muss unbedingt die Karte per Einstellungssoftware (Treiber) dazu zwingen können unter voller Auslastung zu laufen - auch wenn sie dass bei Weitem nicht immer müsste in GPL - Aber die Bildrate im Spiel beginnt immer dann zu stottern wenn die Grafikkarte in einen Energiesparmodus wechselt - und das ist dann stets sehr unangenehm. Wir müssen also die heutigen Grafikkarten absichtlich auf Touren bringen um unsere SIM schön flüssig am Laufen zu halten!
Und ich denke dass du mit deinem Fanatec viel Freude haben wirst :) -Hätte ich auch gern das Teil. Habe selbst eine Logitech G27 und bin eigentlich sehr zufrieden damit. Ausser mit den Pedalen, da die nicht wirklich gut auf meinem "Playseat" (ein sehr wichtiges Utensil!!!) zu montieren sind und dadurch leider schon nach 4 Jahren am kaputtwerden sind... also Fanatec ist hier sicher die bessere Wahl.

Ich kannte die Strecke aus so manchem TV-Rennen und aber auch aus GrandPrix3-Zeiten, lange ists her... Als ich dann am Freitag Nachmittag zum Kennenlernen und Setup trimmen ein paar Runden gefahren bin war ich sofort begeistert. Die schönen Fotos am Streckenrand, meine erste Runde war nur staunen. Aber auch all die Fahrbahnunebenheiten, ein Wahnsinn. Streckenbaulich eine Meisterleistung! Ich dachte nicht dass es möglich ist so eine feine Streckentopologie in GPL hinzubekommen. Wau! Ich weis nicht ob es nur mir so geht, aber Adelaide67 rockt! Wenn du den Knick raus auf die Brabham-Gerade fast voll erwischt und voll am Gas auf Curb und die Hügelkuppe zu ..und nicht zu vergessen die Rechtskurve kurz davor "Stag Hotel". Schwierig, schwierig...
Ein Riesenkompliment für die Wahl dieser Strecke und natürlich an Jim Pearson, den Erbauer dieses GPL-Juwels.

In my case everything went well until lap 38? when I got a sudden cramp in my right calf and hit the inside curb at Abbey Curv. I spun and lost 2 possitions. Just lifting the throttle by take the whole foot off it would have been better in that situation.. All in all I´m happy with my speed and racing makes fun again, thats important. Thank you Lasse for hunting laptimes and consistancy the whole race long, I feel my decision to drive Cooper this year was the best I ever made -it´s so much fun having you as a teammate!
I myself needed some weeks cool down phase - Oultonpark in HIES-league was so frustrating - 3rd careerstart over there and same mistake in same turn third time..
