No problem and I think the fuel situation is under control. I was pushing to run out on friday towards the end of the race. Wanted to see where the limit was.I Cant see the fuel gauge in the car as its hidden behind the wheel , brilliant design.
Also pushed pretty hard after only a few laps so if I dont finish on friday it shouldnt be due to lack of fuel.
Claudio , There is a patch that offers refueling. I use it in short Q sessions. So the option actually exists , thats why I asked. I can run 2 x 16 laps and so can anybody else if they have the patch. Unless its against regulations that is. Not sure it would be quicker though but its probably pretty close over the course of 32 laps. Im not gonna test these scenarios before friday. And Im pretty sure I can make it without it so either way is fine. But its an interesting thought.
I drive the F1 legends league with Phil and he is fast for sure. Free choice of chassi so he can drive what he wants for my part but he will be hard to handle in the eagle , thats also for sure.
My apologies to Axel and subsequently Hans for ruining their Q session. It was a stupid and desperate attempt to coast back to the pits without fuel. Very sorry for that.
Grats to Phil with a debut win , thats quite the introduction. Also grats Kelvin and Tim on the podium. (no worries about the start Tim , all I saw was normal racing). And ofc grats to all finishers and commiserations to those who didnt make it , myself included.
Had a nice tow thing going with Axel in the race but it didnt last and then I was all by myself til I eventually lost concentration and went off , silly mistake as well so 2 for 2 today..
Alas it wasnt to be , struggled with finding a rythm and Im obviously over my little peak in form from last week. Pulled a lap out of the bag in Q but race pace didnt match tonight. Tried to shake Kelvin off but couldnt and by half way point he was all over my gearbox. From there it was about defence and coming onto the S\F straight before the last lap and I make a small mistake that allows him to attack down the straight. I defended as much as expected and there was a small bumb and I was 2nd. Shit.. Just shit really. But hats off to you Kelvin , that was a helluva drive you pulled.
@Caspar Sry for the bumb , felt I was pretty well on the inside even though I went up on the curb a little. It seemed like gettin passed you down the straight was off the table and @ Zantvordt there is not a million places to pass so when you slided a little and opened the inside I had to go for it. It was indeed a bit impatient of me. I was a bit frustrated about the start , I swear to god it said four minutes on the clock and I just went to the bathroom and when I got back the whole field had taken off. So either my bathroom is suffering from some sort of local time warp phenomenon or Im loosing the ability to sense time.. neither of wich are particularly reassuring.
As for the pace I was suprised myself. Pushed the "random set up" button on thursdays race @ mexico and found half a sec instantly , same effect on Zantvordt so for once I got lucky. Really messed up values I havent driven before but it worked. Seemed to work ok in the race as well. As for the mindgames Claudio , thats not gonna work , Ive driven enough against you guys to know youre not just gonna hand anything over so I fully expect a race to the finish come friday.
It is however one of my better tracks in this years calendar so the pressure is on to capitalize on that and score a decent chunk of points. In 2016 I lost a podium finish due to a bathroom brake , I did seriously consider wetting myself for a moment , after all it was 2nd place , decided against it. Lol , Im such a pussy..
Im very pleased only to be one lap short , very close to finishing..
Wonderful track and what a design , it looks absolutely sublime. But its an impossible project so Im sitting next friday out. Best of luck to you gents.
Hehe , no problem Axel. When I saw it from your view the door was open. I just expected to be passed down the finish straight into T1 instead so I jumped a little. Wich also lost me the tow sadly.
Bad brake for Mario and especially Uwe. Engine bust on the last lap is harsh.
Grats Axel und Ferdinand. Lol, and myself I suppose. Strange race , passed both Mario and Uwe in what seemed the last lap and out of nowhere I was 3rd. Some sort of lucky brake.
Haha , I actually thought I was on pole when I clicked the green button but alas , there was that white and red swiss clock I know so well from the rear. In the start of the race the car was good , got up to P1 and things looked good. Then the car kinda turned to crap for no apparent reason. Understeer and twitchy during braking and I was slowly but surely being reeled in by Axel. I must say the pass did take me by suprise, well worth moment to watch in the replay. He ducked on the inside in the last oval corner , that was a gutsy move Axel , you scared me a little there. The pass was expected , just not there. So the plan was to catch a tow from Axel and cruise off into the sunset but that wasnt to be either. Spun out of parabolica as I was trying to get close and dropped to P5. And there I stayed until the last two laps. Again , strange race but a good result.
Practice (or qualifying if you will) starts at 2000 CET. Race starts approx 2100 CET. No repair , no pitstops , no additives of any kind. A new race thread will be started here at some point tomorrow before the race with info and IP adress.
GP race in GELI often means full tank. Tomorrow you will find yourself a few laps short so fill her up I say... You find fuel load settings in the set up menu.
Remember to go to the bathroom before the race starts , thats my advice.
Free choice of chassi so pick wichever car you want for my part. Once youre part of the league then you are free to fight for points and positions like the rest of the field as I see it. No need to hold anything back. This is my 3rd season in GELI and not once have I seen an incident with bad intent behind it and you clearly have the same attitude so no worries. I say go for it , shake it up if you can.
Race starts at 2000 CET via VROC or IGOR. A new thread is posted here on the forum with IP and such. 1 hour practice + race. In the points races you have only the one car. That means during qualifying you must get yourself to the pits if you damage the car. If you have to ESC to pit your qualifying session is over and you cant come back out , if you do you have to start from the pits when the race starts. All flag rules apply.
Dont know how new you are to gpl but the general pace is fairly high here in GELI. But its not tweaked to the max like f. ex the F1 Legends league. The quickest drivers here usually drive a "lesser" car and its more about having fun battling eachother than world records or PB`s. Not that its stated anywhere, just my interpretation of it. Agreements amongst gentlemen I suppose..
Yes there is a race friday on Monza10k ,usually new drivers drive a training race first but this is Lasse`s call as the league admin so lets see what he says. If you can see races in vroc it should work just fine. You can also connect to a server locally in gpl via the multiplayer option. We usually post the IP adress for the server. In case VROC is down , wich it is from time to time. Or we use IGOR to host. We have a vroc chatroom called "g-league" that you should add.
For tracks (and most other things gpl) check out www.gpllinks.org
I expect the pole time to be in the 2.18.xx range on friday , maybe lower.
