Change the line in GplGridding.ini from hostDriver=EOLC1 to hostDriver=Geli-60
Make a new file in the same folder, called grid.txt Put the names of the drivers in this file, like this, if you want Harry to start in front: Harald Podzielny Nigel Bradbury John Bradbury
Start gplgridding Start GPL
Every time a driver joins the server of Geli-60, gplgridding will notice this. When gplgridding is running when the practice ends, it will overrule the practice results and create the grid according to grid.txt
You can test GplGridding with the AI drivers, because they always show up when you need them :)
After a few laps full throttle, I lift before T1 and T3, to try to keep the right front tire temp at 152 or lower. I like this setup, because it gives me a smooth drive. I'm not sure if it is fast. It's my second day on this track.

I've hosted the Lange Ringnacht, I used GplGridding.exe to set the starting grid for every race. That will work
BTW, has anyone a race setup for me? I doesn't has to be a very fast one I like Ferrari or Brabham for this race.
I'm hosting GPL races for EOLC since 2014. It took me a long time to make it work. I wasn't ready for Watkins Glen 2014, but fortunately Pit helped us by hosting the event.
I had a lot of problems to get the hosting work. These were other problems than you have, but maybe one of the following ideas might help.
In the WINVROC window Dedicated Host Settings, you can, in the Server tab, tick the checkbox "Bypass the Multiplayer connection screen". That is the screen you made a screenshot of. Does it help when you try to bypass it?
Press the refress button of the VNC viewer after you pressed the green button in the "Multiplayer connection screen". Maybe the VNC viewer has a delay.
To make things less complicated, you can use VNC later, after GPL is running correctly on your server.
For every race, I do this:
I start WinVROC on my server pc and on my racing pc. On my racing pc, I meet the other drivers in a VROC chatroom. On my server pc, in WinVROC, from the VROC menu, I choose VROC > Advanced hosting. I choose VROC > Advanced Hosting > Setup a Dedicated Server. This opens the window "Dedicated Host Settings". I click the open button and open the grs file I want to use. This file I have prepared earlier and contains all the settings I need. I click the host button. GPL on the race server starts.
On my racing pc I select the race from the racelist in VROC. I join by clicking the join button. So I join like the other drivers do. Joining via IP is possible also.
Grats Col, well done. It's not easy to beat Harry.
I decided to prepare for this race early. Phoenix is part of the regular calender and the oval calender, so I expected an interesting race. On 18 June I set my Ferrari pb, 28.79s. On 26 June I started working on the race setup, but I had to quit GPL for a while because of an illness in the family.
I had expected Harry would drive 19.8s in quali, but he drove 19.6s. Other drivers where fast too, so my goal for the race became a 4th place, trying to beat Kelvin and Fabian.
I didn't practice how to suddenly slow down in the middle of the turn. This caused 3 mistakes early in the race. I tried not to collide with Kelvin and spun. In lap 13 I was distracted by a crash and spun again. In lap 16, I thought I was going to hit Axel and I braked firmly to avoid a collision at all costs. My left front wheel locked up and I hit the wall. I almost went upside down and thought my race was over, but my Brabham landed on four wheels. Sorry Harry for the trouble I caused. I had the fan in the room running fast, it was too hot for me to drive well.
When Kelvin or Fabian lapped me I tried to compete a little (escape or chase), to see if they were faster. They were. In lap 68 I made room for Lasse, and overdid my efforts (again), and bumped into the wall. Servere problems with both suspensions on the right side. Then I drove 20.155s in lap 87. Maybe the damage improved the setup
In any case, I don't like understeer setups for ovals. I think understeer setups are the main reason why some drivers don't like ovals. While these tracks are great for drivers of all levels.
Harry drove an excellent race, fast and alert. Colin did too, but unfortunately he and Pit had a collision. I spun the same way as Pit, I was just lucky I didn't hit the leader by doing that.
Zitat von Fabian im Beitrag #7dass mein doofes Wheel an dem Abend wieder besonders zickig drauf ist....
I use a Logitech Formula Force EX. I bought it for 23 euros second-hand on the internet. No shifter and clutch, because I don't think an expensive wheel will last long in my hands.
Ovals are the only tracks were I can aim at the podium. I'm not good at other circuits.
Quali. I was impressed by Kelvin's 39.507s. Col was 0.02s faster than Harry and I landed between them with a new pb.
Race. I chose Lasse's long 5th gear. Thanks, I needed it. After the pace lap, Kelvin's engine blew up, disappointing. I drove a wrong line in turn 1 and therefore I went wide in turn 2. Three drivers overtook me within seconds. Michi overtook me. Five cars drove away from me. I tried to find my rithm. At some point in the race, I didn't lose time anymore to leader Harry, so I was satisfied being 5s behind. I hoped the tyre temps would help me later in the race, so I relaxed a little.
I reached Michi, who was fast and overtook me multiple times. I was thinking about driving towards Harry and Lasse together. I asked myself how to do that on this track. Col suddenly gained time very quickly, and I concluded he escaped from the group.
I reached Lasse. While we were overtaking each other, Harry drove away from us. When we didn't overtake, we were fast by drafting. I decided not to overtake anymore until we reached Harry again. Willi had a very unfortunate race accident. His Lotus crashed and slid slowly from the wall towards the grove. I stayed on the gas, which was the safest, and passed him just in time.
Lasse was almost too fast to follow, but my setup was easy to drive. Then his engine blew up. I overtook Harry and was 10s behind Colin. With 20 laps to go a huge gap. In the last phase, I was about as fast as him. 3 laps before the end I gave up the chase. I finished 2nd.
An interesting and fun race for me. Glad I didn't have a calamity. Congratulations to Col, who drove away from a group of fast drivers and finished strong.
