Schon in der Qualifikation hatte ich eine Bestzeit aufgestellt, und damit war ich zufrieden. Willi war sehr nah dran.
Willi hatte den besseren Start, aber ich konnte mich außen an der Spitze halten. Die ersten 10 Runden haben Spaß gemacht, da war Willi genauso schnell, wenn nicht schneller. Aber er machte einen kleinen Fehler und verlor den Anschluss, bevor er aufgeben musste.
Ich war in einer Art Trance, es ist eine kurze Strecke, die ich sehr gut kenne. Das Rennen war recht schnell, vor allem nach der Hälfte der Strecke. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit meiner Fahrt, aber es ist schade, dass der Startcrash passiert ist und Willi unfreiwillig aufgeben musste.
Aber wir machen alle Fehler, Kopf hoch Sanjin, das war keine Absicht.
Gut gemacht Sanjin, Tim und Ferdi! Pech gehabt DNFs.

Konnte hier in meiner limitierten Trainingszeit überhaupt nicht die Pace finden, aber Sandown ist halt auch eine dieser Strecken, die man im Kopf einstudiert haben muss. Rennen war leider nicht lang. Von den 80 angesetzten Runden bekam ich die erste nicht fertig. Sanjin und Rainer waren vor mir kollidiert und Rainers Fahrzeug wurde beim Kontakt mit Sanjin direkt auf meine Streckenseite genetcoded. Hatte mich überschlagen und war hinter dem inneren Zaun gelandet und auch weitergefahren, um zu sehen, ob es da irgendwo einen Ausgang gibt, aber dann nach 300m mit einer unsichtbaren Mauer kollidiert. Naja, kann auch nicht jedes Mal laufen.
OMG, really bad race-evening. Couldn´t find a rhythm in the qualy, didn´t feel save on the brakes...
I like this track, didn´t drive it before. It was so much fun that i took many laps at two evenings to find a good setup. And i found... Did a 05.31 on the quali-setup (and wanted a 05.5x for the qualy) and the race-one was good to go for about 20 laps at 1.05.xx, i did on wednesday. So it has been a question of ´Tagesform´, which went bad.
I´m not sure if the little crashes (with Rainer and Tim) after Sanjins slip went bad for the setup... Finally I wasn´t able to bring it on the road, lost some tenth´s each lap from what i expected.
I think I´m getting old, because my "Tagesform" seems to find herself quite stable in the cellar this year. Not like Lasses one time down, I´ve the feeling it´s always down. At Sundown I lost concentration after the first race-half and couldn´t find it again. I never felt that slow before. 54 years on this planet seems too long for racing in my case ..
Gratulations to all the faster guys, sorry Lasse for touching you during start-mess, I should have waiten and let the whole field pass -but that is so hard to do.. sorry!
I watched the replay and saw again a flawless victory by Robert -magic consitant and fast as always! Also Sanjins & Marios bad luck, who could have challenged the winner. Gratulations also to Ferdi -good pace and consistant!
