Ein tolles Rennen. mein persönliches Highlight des Jahres. Es hat richtig Spass gemacht. Lasse fuhr wie vom anderen Stren, da war nix zu machen. Aber Willi konnte ich gut folgen am anfang. Ich fuhr allerdings absolut am Limit. Als nach und nach kleine fehler kamen und kleine Berührungen mit mauern, machte ich etwas langsamer. Die 2. Runde war extrem Anstrengend. Sehr viele Fehler und ich dachte ich packe es nicht. In Runde 3 wie ausgewechselt. Ich war im Flow und es machte wieder extrem Spass. 100m vor dem Ende dann ein Aussetzter der Augen. Ich wusste nicht mehr wo die Strasse ist und voll im Zaun hängengeblieben! Panik!!! Aber zum Glück konnte ich mich nach einer ewigkeit befreien. Auf der einen seite freude, auf der anderen Seite schade. Ich hätte gerne die Rundenzeit gesehen. Die Runde lief echt gut. Grats an alle die das Ziel gesehen haben, was sehr viele waren auf dieser anspruchsvollen Strecke. Und Grats an Lasse für einen neuen Weltrekord auf Cooper! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A great race. My personal highlight of the year. It was really fun. Lasse drove like he was from the other side, there was nothing I could do. But I was able to follow Willi well at the beginning. But I drove absolutely at the limit. When little by little I made mistakes and touched walls, I slowed down a bit. The second lap was extremely exhausting. I made a lot of mistakes and thought I wouldn't make it. In lap 3 I was like a changed man. I was in the flow and it was extremely fun again. 100m before the end I lost my eyes. I didn't know where the road was and got stuck in the fence! Panic! But luckily I was able to free myself after an eternity. On the one hand joy, on the other a pity. I would have liked to see the lap time. The lap went really well. Congratulations to everyone who saw the finish, which was a lot on this demanding course. And congratulations to Lasse for setting a new world record on Cooper!

Sanjin, that's not enough for this stretch. It took me almost half a year to get to know it. But when you're ready, it's an indescribable feeling to ride it fast. And when you ride it in real life, like I did in 2014, you have even more respect for the riders back then in real life!

Ja das Rennen war ein Highlight!!! Die Rennpace von Lasse war unglaublich, ich bin einigermaßen dran geblieben und Claudio an mir. Eigentlich war klar, dass das schief gehen musste, aber es ging gut! Die Targa ist unglaublich!

oh wow. haha. I was positively surprised how much i already internalized / still remembered, considering I only drive the track on average once a year (!) and maybe for maybe 2 laps tops. lol What helped me is that from the release of the track, I intuitively learned the optical cues (black/white arrow barriers, police men, walls, bridges, goats [lol ], etc.) and once you know the "language of the track" it becomes much easier to avoid the "deadly" spots. And it's a bit like the Nurburgring. You think you'll never learn it but eventually you do in deed and then it rocks (well, I myself am not quite at this stage yet but I can already imagine how Lasse, Wille & Co must enjoy this track. )
However.. not internalized well enough apparently and I lost a wheel in the 3rd lap. But to get even this far in the first place is really an achievement for me. *celebration* So... 2 and a half laps more memorization and therefore I hope to "pull out from the hat" even more next year (lolo ) - at this rate I should be proficient in about 5 years time. rofl.

*) yes, you can already see how good people have become here - virtually no DNFs! Not long ago there were more DNFs than those who even finished 1 lap. Great bunch of drivers! Congratulations!

Oh i know what you´re talking about. I still have some points where i´m not absolutely sure what´s coming...
As i told via TS... I "learned" this track while sleeping. No joke! A few years ago i drove it about 30 times in about 2 months, only one lap each time. But here comes the point: Each time i did it directly before going to sleep.
That helped very much to somewhat "know" it (or what´s comin´ next) intuitively. So i am able to go here relatively fast if i can keep concentration high. That´s so crazy and funny, sometimes i have to grin and laugh while driving.
The most difficult lap this time has been lap 2. I had a few moments with a lack of concentration, luckily nothing happend... I think this has been my best race-performance here at all! Great fun!
