Congratulations Lasse and Mario!

My apologies for quitting early. There was a race at Spa67 in the Can Am 66 cars, I didn't want to miss.

Finally, I drove a decent race in the Honda. All my practice at Hockenheim over the years paid off. This was one of my favorite circuits in the mid 90s when I first drove World Circuit/F1GP. I also made AI for the 1971 Can Am cars for this circuit. That took a lot of driving plus I tested most of the mods with that AI.

I still don't have much confidence with the Honda while braking. Luckily, I had an early gap that allowed me to brake early if I felt the need. I managed to hold the gap at 7 seconds as Lasse began picking up speed. After he made some mistakes, the gap stabilized at about 17 seconds. By the time I retired, I didn't think there was enough time left for Lasse to ever catch me.

I probably won't look so good next week. Lasse and Mario always seem to make good improvements between the practice race and the official race. With Lasse running a 1:51.86, I may not be able to stay close. I can't expect much, if any, improvement from myself.

About this 1:51.xx: Sometimes this SIM is racaing with me, not the other way round. So i am not sure if i will be able to do a lap like this again (soon). May be at the qualy, maybe at a single lap... I just hope that i will be able to run a little bit more constant and hopefully a bit faster within traffic!

But i am going to use a little bit longer 2nd and 3rd gear for lower revs, that won´t help for better laptimes...

Maybe we are able to fight for position the hole race, that would be great fun!

Im Übrigen - rein zur Info - hatte ich auf dem Server folgende Version/patches laufen:

- hocken67_hires_v1.0 (offenbar kleiner als die _512_, wofür auch immer das stehen mag)
- 3do_v101 (soll ctd-Probleme möglicherweise verhindern, siehe Anhang)
- Hockenheim_cams_by_Tato (soll ein spezifisches ctd vermeiden, siehe Anhang)

Mag sein, dass die beiden patches auf dem Server nix bringen, läuft ja keine Grafik... aber wer weiß, was da nicht doch evtl. im Hintergrund so mitläuft. Server lief jedenfalls stabil und so weit ich weiß gabs keine Freezes/ctd.

Alles klar, dann übernehme ich das mal so.

oooch... ein mal "nervös leidend" gezuckelt beim Schalten und die Nockenwelle hat es gleich ausgenockt...

naja, eh nicht gerade meine Lieblingsstrecke (nix zu tun auf der langen Geraden... zzz... chzzz... zzz...) darum nicht unbedingt unglücklich wegen dem frühen Aus.
