Also Vorsicht beim Anbremsen!!
Grats an alle Ankommer. see you on track!
Wow, that was stressful, more than expected. I didn´t have much time to find a set. So i used the Langhorne one as base which worked quite fine. Just adjusted the springs+stabs a little because of the heavier rear of the Lotus, new gears, that´s it... In race i worked hard to keep the temperatures in balance, sometimes rf went hot somtimes rr. So the balance of the set must have been quite fine.
There was no way for me to stay with Harry, congrats! At the beginning i tried, keeping the turnin-speed high. But that was a bit to risky for me with hot tires. You might have noticed that on lap 13. So i decided to brake a bit later+harder, turn a bit slower and apart from that making use of the Lotus´s engine. That worked for me (somehow) on the long term.
Oh boy, that was really a tough race at this tiny oval track. It felt like constantly running up on slower traffic, respectively constantly being lapped ; …very stressful but a ton of fun. I took the BRM ‘cause it seems to me that the BRM’s suspension is more stable against exterior impacts. The comparatively short wheelbase could also be pretty useful on a short track . But on the other hand the engine suffers lots of torque and the car’s overweight is a huge disadvantage . I aimed for a low 20 in qualy but to my amazement this heavyweight was able to run a sub 20, never expected that . Well, the race is a different ballgame. The car came up to speed quite fast. David was lurking from behind and had some kind of maverick-style on corner entry, so my focus was much more on the rear mirror than it was useful. This led up to the mishap that I carried too much speed into turn 1 on lap 10 the BRM got way too loose over the bump and I spun (-> driver error!) . Racing back in the pack was very intense and made a lot of fun. Passing cars with the BRM on this track is kinda hard, due to the fact, that the engines has not enough steam accelerating out of the turns. Lot’s of close racing and even closer racing took place. I saw David’s car gone head over heels, Col with some unfortunate contact that took down his RR wheel (shit happens mate ), cars spinning, engines smoking …so not much time to relax . At the end of an action packed and very exhausting race I crossed the stripe in 4th.
Grats Harry! Great race and despite your engine problem (mechanical report) an even greater victory! Also fantastic race from (short-track-hero) Fabian running 3rd without practice! .

A very difficult track to run with other cars , even more difficult with a BRM ...... quite brilliant pace from Kelvin.
I figured the Cooper would be good , handling good/braking good/good off the corner. I could run in the low 20's without much problem while keeping the tyres cool.
Qual was pretty good and I hoped to try and stay with the front guys in the race. Kelvin was close behind until a mistake from him gave me the chance to stop checking the mirrors , Harry was pulling away with Lasse until a mistake allowed me into 2nd place, I was waiting to be caught again as Lasse was very fast, but, it was never to happen after an accident put me out of the race. I can see how the incident happened so no problem , thanks for the apology .... the track has no banking right at the top and it is easy to spin .
Grats to Harry on a very smooth win and all who finished ........ the championship is very close now ..... onto the next one
I had expected Harry would drive 19.8s in quali, but he drove 19.6s. Other drivers where fast too, so my goal for the race became a 4th place, trying to beat Kelvin and Fabian.
I didn't practice how to suddenly slow down in the middle of the turn. This caused 3 mistakes early in the race. I tried not to collide with Kelvin and spun. In lap 13 I was distracted by a crash and spun again. In lap 16, I thought I was going to hit Axel and I braked firmly to avoid a collision at all costs. My left front wheel locked up and I hit the wall. I almost went upside down and thought my race was over, but my Brabham landed on four wheels. Sorry Harry for the trouble I caused. I had the fan in the room running fast, it was too hot for me to drive well.
When Kelvin or Fabian lapped me I tried to compete a little (escape or chase), to see if they were faster. They were. In lap 68 I made room for Lasse, and overdid my efforts (again), and bumped into the wall. Servere problems with both suspensions on the right side. Then I drove 20.155s in lap 87. Maybe the damage improved the setup
In any case, I don't like understeer setups for ovals. I think understeer setups are the main reason why some drivers don't like ovals. While these tracks are great for drivers of all levels.
Harry drove an excellent race, fast and alert. Colin did too, but unfortunately he and Pit had a collision. I spun the same way as Pit, I was just lucky I didn't hit the leader by doing that.
I use a Logitech Formula Force EX. I bought it for 23 euros second-hand on the internet. No shifter and clutch, because I don't think an expensive wheel will last long in my hands.
